Tabebuia impetiginosa first bloom

I planted this lovely Tabebuia tree from a seed when we moved to our house in 2007. It's been killed back a few times by frost and we've had to start all over.  After covering it a few winters with AC insulation tubes it finally made it to a size it can resist the cold.  This is the first year it has flowered.  I'm thrilled. Not as impressive as it should be. The whole thing should be pink but for what its been through and how I've brought it back to life so many times I think it did great for it's first time.  Notice the few pink flowers.
